Why a Biomarker May Be Missing from Your Report

  1. Delayed Sample Arrival
Biomarkers have varying stability windows—the period during which they remain viable for accurate analysis. If your sample takes too long to arrive at the lab, some biomarkers may degrade, leading to their omission from the report.

  2. Improper Sample Collection
Proper sample collection is critical for accurate biomarker analysis. If the sample is not collected according to instructions (e.g., at the correct time or without proper sealing), it may compromise the analysis, resulting in missing biomarkers.

  3. Storage or Transport Conditions
Extreme temperatures or improper handling during transport can affect sample integrity, especially for biomarkers sensitive to environmental conditions. However, to mitigate this risk, we use ADX cards and sealed containers designed to preserve sample stability during transit. These specialized tools ensure the sample remains at optimal conditions, reducing the likelihood of biomarker degradation.

  4. Insufficient Sample Volume
Some biomarkers require a minimum amount of sample for testing. If the provided sample volume is insufficient, certain biomarkers may not be processed.

  5. Technical Issues in the Lab
On rare occasions, technical errors during sample processing or equipment malfunctions may prevent specific biomarkers from being analyzed.

What We Do to Ensure Accuracy

To maintain the integrity of your sample, we’ve implemented robust protocols such as using temperature-stabilizing ADX cards and secure, leak-proof sealed containers and expedited shipping. These measures minimize the impact of environmental factors and handling, ensuring your sample arrives in the best possible condition.
