What is the difference between optimal and reference ranges?’Updated 4 months ago
The reference range includes all values that are not considered pathological, encompassing the broad spectrum of results typically seen in the general population.
On the other hand, the optimal range we use is specifically tailored to include values recommended for a healthy population. These values are chosen to minimize the risk of developing diseases, focusing on what is considered the most beneficial for long-term health.
Since our focus is on preventive medicine, we prioritize using these optimal ranges over the standard reference ranges. This approach allows us to better guide our users towards maintaining and achieving peak health, even if these optimal ranges differ from the conventional reference ones. By doing so, we aim to proactively reduce the likelihood of disease and promote overall wellness.
